Why does my game lag when my speed test says I have 300 Mbps?
Speed tests measure top speed on a quiet line. Games need very little bandwidth (1–2 Mbps) but a low, steady ping. When someone else streams or downloads, the queue in your modem or router fills up (bufferbloat) and your game packets wait behind it, which shows up as 100 ms+ spikes. Test & Optimize measures ping while the line is busy and gives you the exact Smart Queue (SQM) limits to stop it.
What does Test & Optimize check?
