Game mode
One big download on any device fills your line, and every game packet and call waits behind it. Game mode stops devices using Net Fix DNS from starting those downloads for 30 minutes to 4 hours, then switches itself off.

Create a free DNS profile and set it on your router (the whole home) or on the devices that download most. Then turn game mode on here or from your profile. Already have one? Open your management link in this browser.
What it pauses

- Epic Games downloads
- Xbox and Microsoft Store downloads
- PlayStation downloads
- Nintendo downloads
- Windows updates (off by default: these carry security fixes)
- Apple software updates (off by default: these carry security fixes)
- iCloud sync
- OneDrive sync
- Backblaze backup
It only refuses the download servers, so stores, logins, multiplayer and voice keep working. For downloads that never cause lag again, turn on Smart Queue with the Smart Queue assistant or schedule them for quiet hours.
